The challenge
What was in the way.
The group ran bookings, warehousing, billing and tracking on four separate systems, two of them built in house years ago by people who had since left. Staff copied shipment details between screens, customers called for status updates, and month end billing took a week. The business could not stop operating for a big switch over, and the data in the old systems did not always agree.
What we built
The solution.
One operations platform covering bookings, warehouse events, billing and a live tracking page for customers. A data layer reconciles records from the old systems and feeds a set of operational dashboards.
- Customer tracking portal
- Operations platform
- Event stream
- Reconciliation jobs
- Warehouse and dashboards
How we worked
The decision that made the difference.
We replaced one system at a time behind a shared interface, ran old and new in parallel for each, and rehearsed every cut over twice.
